There are so many things I’m still trying to learn to keep my family, home and environment safe from toxins. Beware there are companies out there claiming their products are eco-friendly and safe, but are far from it. There is a new home furnishings store with an environmentally friendly concept that recently opened at The Summit, located on Hwy 22 near the Gene Snyder Freeway. Habitation sells living room, dining room, and bedroom furniture and accessories. None of the furniture contains formaldehyde or volatile organic compound finishes.

Louisville’s Amazing Green Planet

Amazing Green Planet recently opened in the Westport Village. I did a little shopping there today and was very impressed with what the store had to offer. I bought a couple of cute organic t-shirts and several soy candles, which will make great gifts for the Holidays coming up.

Just to give you an idea of some of their products, the store also carries baby items, bathroom and kitchen accessories, purses and jewelry.

Louisville’s Environmenally friendly Dry Cleaning

Martinizing Dry Cleaners located at Westport Plaza Shopping Ctr, 9449 Westport Road, Westport & Hursbourne, (502)412-7008.

They are the ONLY dry cleaners in Louisville that uses the “Green Earth Dry Cleaning Process”.  I highly recommend this place. I’ve been a customer of theirs for a number of years. They do great work and are affordable, try them out.
